Canadian Writers in Person & more

Time for my monthly blog ...

I'll be reading tomorrow night (Oct. 27) for the Canadian Writers in Person series at York University. 7:00 pm at Stedman Lecture Hall D. It'll be a full reading with Q&A after.

The Ottawa International Writers Festival was a blast. They treat their authors exceptionally well and it was great to hang out with the Ottawa folks again. Speaking of those people, I missed seeing jwcurry, but he promises to be at the Toronto Small Press Fair this weekend (Oct. 29 at Trinity-St. Paul's 427 Bloor St. W. 11am-5pm).

Great to drink with rob mclennan as well; check out his blogspot for a report on the Festival, plus a shout-out to my essay on Raymond Souster from The Canadian Modernists Meet.

Also met photographer John W. MacDonald in Ottawa, who took some very cool b&w photos which can be seen here.

After tomorrow, the next reading will be at Hamilton's GritLit on Sunday Nov. 6th. Details in next post.

Thanks to Sharon for making this great site.

I'm planning on using this page as a place to post readings, reviews and other things of interest, rather than as general commentary, but we'll see.
